Ingredients

Supplies

  • Electric Mixer (handheld or counter-top)
  • Large spoon
  • measuring spoons
  • loaf pan

Instructions

1. Place a 9×5-inch loaf pan in the freezer to chill. This helps the ice cream freeze faster and more evenly.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the sweetened condensed milk with the vanilla extract with electric mixer on medium-high speed until well combined.

3. Add 2 cups of cold heavy cream to the bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes.

4. Spoon the mixture into the chilled loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula or large spoon. Add toppings like chocolate chips, nuts, fruit, syrups or cookie pieces at this point.

Tip: You might like to add some mixture to the pan and then add ingredients like cookie pieces, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, nuts, etc., so there will be a layer of extra goodies throughout the mixture. Then add the rest of the mixture on top and smooth out.

5. If you have a lid for your container use that and if not cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.

Once frozen, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before scooping and enjoy.
